Taking Responsibility For Your Anti-American Expression
A close friend of mine asked my position on the war. I want to share my response with others on this blog. so here it goes:
-------
we [stax and myself] are so angry with these liberals, the media and these so-called "socialist" celebrities who will say anything at whatever cost to discredit and dismantle Bush.
they will publish every negative, one-sided story, LIE outright, or spew their garbage political agenda to their willing, weak-minded audience with little regard for the consequences. they do not recognize that their anti-American protests is damaging on so many levels. they are stoking the anti-American sentiment here (can you believe it?!!) and abroad. they are single-handedly empowering these terrorists because they are indirectly (and sometimes directly) pacifying their "cause." our men and women are being murdered because these so-called Americans (they don't deserve that title!!!!) have elevated their freedom of speech above anything else. even if that means more beheadings or bombings. they are putting their individual rights ahead and above all others simply because they can...
sounds like BJ Clinton, no? his reasons for having sex with an intern (and defiling the White House) was simply because he could. talk about EGO.
I would like to add that had Clinton served as Commander-in-Chief, rather than his "needs", we would not be in the current hailstorm that we are now in.
let me say this straight: sometimes it's best to NOT do something because you can. sometimes it's best to NOT let your EGO control your actions. set aside your EGO, and do something to serve SOMEONE ELSE rather than YOURSELF.
whether you are for or against this war, what happened to support for our country? where is the patriotism? where is the honor????? at least consider the implications of what you say publicly, and take responsibility for your actions.
i support this war because we are in it, and we have men and women over there fighting for a country's liberty, and i will not let our troops down. i've read so much about how Saddam oppressed his people (fellow muslims!), and i believe it is our obligation as a nation with means to bring down a man who dispenses such evil. unfortunately, this may mean that in order to do just that, we must use force. but what is the alternative? sitting down and having a heart-to-heart about how he should stop the rapes, the genocide? should we've had a spiritual "pow-wow" with Hitler? or should we have done nothing instead? if we did not go into Iraq, and then were hit with another 9/11, will these liberals be saying we should have done something?
i don't get these liberals. they are so quick to defend the beaten and downtrodden victims (really, criminals!), yet they don't see the justice in removing an evil despot. AND there's PROOF that Saddam was connected with al qaeda. it's totally backwards.
don't get me wrong... i am not "for" war. who's for war? Mother Teresa was "for" peace. i am for peace. but how can we, collectively, bring peace to this world when so many people have lost the ability to think/reason for THEMSELVES? why have so many people let others decide their fate? why isn't anyone protesting terrorists pushing children to become suicide bombers?
