Taking Responsibility For Your Anti-American Expression

A close friend of mine asked my position on the war. I want to share my response with others on this blog. so here it goes:

-------

we [stax and myself] are so angry with these liberals, the media and these so-called "socialist" celebrities who will say anything at whatever cost to discredit and dismantle Bush.

they will publish every negative, one-sided story, LIE outright, or spew their garbage political agenda to their willing, weak-minded audience with little regard for the consequences. they do not recognize that their anti-American protests is damaging on so many levels. they are stoking the anti-American sentiment here (can you believe it?!!) and abroad. they are single-handedly empowering these terrorists because they are indirectly (and sometimes directly) pacifying their "cause." our men and women are being murdered because these so-called Americans (they don't deserve that title!!!!) have elevated their freedom of speech above anything else. even if that means more beheadings or bombings. they are putting their individual rights ahead and above all others simply because they can...

sounds like BJ Clinton, no? his reasons for having sex with an intern (and defiling the White House) was simply because he could. talk about EGO.

I would like to add that had Clinton served as Commander-in-Chief, rather than his "needs", we would not be in the current hailstorm that we are now in.

let me say this straight: sometimes it's best to NOT do something because you can. sometimes it's best to NOT let your EGO control your actions. set aside your EGO, and do something to serve SOMEONE ELSE rather than YOURSELF.

whether you are for or against this war, what happened to support for our country? where is the patriotism? where is the honor????? at least consider the implications of what you say publicly, and take responsibility for your actions.

i support this war because we are in it, and we have men and women over there fighting for a country's liberty, and i will not let our troops down. i've read so much about how Saddam oppressed his people (fellow muslims!), and i believe it is our obligation as a nation with means to bring down a man who dispenses such evil. unfortunately, this may mean that in order to do just that, we must use force. but what is the alternative? sitting down and having a heart-to-heart about how he should stop the rapes, the genocide? should we've had a spiritual "pow-wow" with Hitler? or should we have done nothing instead? if we did not go into Iraq, and then were hit with another 9/11, will these liberals be saying we should have done something?

i don't get these liberals. they are so quick to defend the beaten and downtrodden victims (really, criminals!), yet they don't see the justice in removing an evil despot. AND there's PROOF that Saddam was connected with al qaeda. it's totally backwards.

don't get me wrong... i am not "for" war. who's for war? Mother Teresa was "for" peace. i am for peace. but how can we, collectively, bring peace to this world when so many people have lost the ability to think/reason for THEMSELVES? why have so many people let others decide their fate? why isn't anyone protesting terrorists pushing children to become suicide bombers?

Is the Muslim Religion our enemy?

I keep reading articles that seems to assure that maybe the Muslim Religion itself may be our enemy. I don't believe that yet, but I'm trying to find articles and fact that would rebuke this idea. I've come across this article: Saudi Arabia – beheading capital of the world from WorldNetDaily.com. The theocracy in Saudi Arabia and across most of the Middle East region is scary. Are they using terrorism to force my belief system? Are they hiding behind the terrorists to push for a world religion? Actions speak louder than words, the cliche saying goes, but where are the facts to contradict this idea. Have you come across any evidence to the contrary? Please let me know. I will add additional proof that I find in the comments of this post.

My Demand For Fair Reporting By "News" Organizations

I have sent (and will continue to send) this letter to every print, TV and radio, and online media organization which fails to live up to their editorial responsiblity. I urge you to do the same! Let our voices be heard!!!

----
Did you know that the Iraqi football team will compete in the 2004 Olympics for the first time ever? Did you know that salaries for the Iraqi people have increased considerably since the fall of Saddam's regime? Did you know that, again for the first time ever, a Film and TV school will open in Baghdad? Did you know that young Iraqi businesswomen will be able to participate in an exchange program that provides an opportunity to learn management and business skills abroad? Did you know that private schools, which were abolished under Saddam's regime, are now opening throughout Iraq? Did you know that 2,358 Iraqi public schools have been rehabilitated and now provide a free education to all Iraqis, 60% of whom are illiterate?

Sadly, your news organization has failed its editorial obligation to report news that is "fair and balanced." Your negative reporting misleads your ignorant readership into believing that this war has accomplished nothing but make life worse for the Iraqis. If your news organization has done its homework (see examples above), then you will find quite the opposite is true! Here's a suggestion: Why not interview an Iraqi to hear how this war has fared him or her, as this gentleman states, http://iraq-iraqis.blogspot.com/2004/06/my-house.html, before you publish your next negative article?

Where is the truth in your news organization's reporting? Where is your editorial responsibility to present unbiased information? Sadly, you have failed in doing your job, and, thus, incite greater opposition to this war because your audience does not receive truthful news.

From Iraq, with love

This is a great blog. There are so many of them that I didn't know existed. I am happy to see and read the voices of the Iraqi people. Here is another Iraqi blog that I found (read the First Open Letter to President Bush - June 3, 2004): THE MESOPOTAMIAN. Thank God for the Internet and the freedom to express our views. If it was up to the Left, we would only hear their point of view. Inform yourselves and come up with your own conclusions. Don't let someone else dictate what you should think or what to say. Wake up from the lazziness of apathy.

I am finding so many Iraqi blogs. I'm addicted to reading about all the good (and bad) things happening in Iraq from people who live there. I am happy to read their points of view, to share in their joy and pain, to feel, from a distance, their descriptions of life amongst freedom loving people. Here is another awesome blog that, with sincere thoughts, sheds light on what Iraqi's feel about the events in their country Life in Baghdad by Ahmed Kharrufa. It's an honest and poetic look at positive and negative events, which we all have to live up to in our lives.

Saudi Arabia Does NOT want to see Iraq Flourish

Saudi Arabia silently rejoices the relentless and ruthless killing in Iraq. You know why? Because the violence further impedes the swift process of a free, and self-sufficient country. Self-sufficient because "Iraq has the largest number of undeveloped oil fields in the world. Together they are estimated to hold up to 60billion barrels of proven reserves." -- Baghdad, Iraq Press, June15 ,2004

http://www.iraqpress.org/homepage.asp?fname=ipenglish\2004-06-15\1.htm

This would, of course, reduce dependence on Saudi oil, and in turn, mean less billions for the Crown.

Radical Leftists claim that the US has entered this war because we want Iraq's oil. Their "Blood for Oil" protests has no backing whatsoever. Are we taking Iraqi's oil? Do you see us carting it off on our ships sailing directly to our ports? If you really believe that, then why isn't the Left Media reporting it? Oh, cause, you know they would if even the slightest truth were in that claim.

Or, better yet, are we helping to empower the Iraqi people to take hold of their future. The coalition is helping Iraq to rebuild their infrastructure so that THEY (not US) may capitalize on their oil wealth. So that THEY (NOT US) may invest in providing a better education for the children of Iraq... OH YEAH, only this time, the women of Iraq will also be allowed to sit in on classes.

Again, the Left, blinded by their political agenda, does not want to strain itself to see the TRUTH.

Torture or Abuse

How can the mainstream media dwell on the misrepresentation that Iraqi prisoners in the Abu Ghraib prison were tortured, when there is plenty of evidence what kind of real torture that occurred in that prison, and other prisons throughout Iraq. These prisoners are the enemy and they were disgraced. Yes, they were abused, but that's what happens in war -- a war that we need to win. Come on now, they did not have their limbs or heads chopped off -- they didn't DIE!!! They were forced to endure disgrace and humiliation in order to get information. You want to hear what real torture occurred in this prison during Sadamm's regime? Read this article by Nick Schulz from National Review Online: Seeing, and Believing: The torture tapes the media are ignoring. The media is blowing this whole thing out of proportion to fulfill their political agenda. And they say they are not biased!! Ha!

Cowards

They call themselves jihadists, but these animals (there is no other word to describe them) are cowards. Sure, kidnap a civilian and demand this and that then decapitate him. These jihadists are worse than animals. At least animals kill for food, but these "nothings" kill for the pleasure of killing, for the pleasure to make us cringe from fear. I'm not afraid. If anything I get more and more angry and at times I want to succumb to their level. Should I? Can I?

These "nothings" are not men. God didn't make them. They are EVIL. The devil made them. They deserve what will come to them. I will pray for the rest of us who have faith and I pray that God will do justice.

Where is the Unified International Voice Against Terrorist Actions?

i am disgusted with most of the political "so-called" leaders of our Free (ha!) World.

You are not Free if you yield to terrorist threats, as the wimp from spain did... "Spain's Prime Minister Jose Luis Rodriguez Zapatero has wasted no time putting his stamp on the country's politics by declaring the withdrawal for Spanish forces from Iraq just 24 hours after his inauguration." -- April 19th, Washington Times.

WIMP. PUSSY. by withdrawing support for a free Iraq you have empowered these terrorists to commit more acts of atrocities. you have fueled their fanatic "cause" to destroy western society. Are you that naive that your neutrality or opposition to the coalition will give spain and its people a free pass from bombings by terrorists? You Fool.

"Many Spaniards were among those killed recently in Morocco, where a jihadist bomb attack on an ancient Moorish synagogue took place in broad daylight. The attack was on Morocco itself, which was neutral in the recent Iraq war." -- March 17th, FrontPageMag.com

i am in disbelief that the world is so against this effort (yes, it's war) to free iraq. would you rather the despot saddam hussein remain in power? the man ruthlessly killed millions of his OWN MUSLIM people. the man and the thugs he employed raped women, tortured men and plundered communities. why do so many people voice outrage in the coalition's effort to build a self-governing iraq where the people (especially women) are free to further themselves in every possible facet of life. WHY on earth is there so much opposition for fighting a battle (yes, that means people may die) for the building of a free society??? should we have left hitler in power? stalin in power? should nations do nothing when there is evidence of ethnic "cleansing"? shouldn't nations have a responsibility to dethrone those brutal dictators if they have the means to?

i just don't get it. i don't understand how so-called "humanists" spew bush-hate speak, yet turn the other cheek when mass graves are unearthed. Or fall silent when the innocent are brutally beheaded. where is the outrage? where is the muslim voice denouncing such acts of barbaric brutality committed in the name of their God?? is this Allah's message? to kill anyone who is not of the muslim faith? have we all gone mad pacifying these terrorists????

should we plead with terrorists to not kill anymore? will they listen? if someone, without warning, came up to you and punched you in the face with full force, are you going to reason with them: "why did you punch me? what can i do so that you won't punch me again..." or will your impulse be to punch back? what is your solution? what is your response to the wanton decapitation of innocent people? how would you respond if it were one of your loved ones? Hey Madonna: if a car bomb exploded in your backyard, would war then be justified?

i have a suggestion for these isolated, protected, perched-high in society liberal celebrities: have a one-on-one with a dead fireman's wife and children before you spew your garbage politics to your weak-minded audience.

fuck them and those politicians that want to "pull-out." you pull-out and you send a message to terrorists around the world that they have the power to sway public opinion through FEAR. creating an atmosphere of fear is oppression at its core...

i do not fear you. i only hope that our leaders will eventually band together to fight the Oppression brought on by these terrorists... if we give up this fight, then i suggest you prepare yourself for life as it was back in the dark ages.

Folk Concert My ASS

for the selfish blonde chick who stood up during Ani DeFranco's set at the Clearwater festival: how can you attend a folk concert, which represents an ideology of community and love and sharing and all that other unselfish qualities, with one in which it's all about YOU and getting the best view?

why has "me" and "i" replaced "us" and "we" ?? Why is it all about YOU? this question is for all the self-proclaimed hippy boneheads who arrived just BEFORE Ani was about to perform and claimed a spot front and center blocking the view for everyone behind them who had set camp for HOURS waiting anxiously, patiently, eagerly to catch this woman perform?

this ME mentality has run amok. but, of all places you would expect to NOT see it would be at a Folk Festival. Bunch of phony people you are. that smirk you gave us. all of you Yippie (yuppie hippies) chicks are living a LIE. you defy our pleads to sit down, like the rest of the hundreds of people attending. we begged and you smirked. Bunch of self-indulgent, inconsiderate people you are.

for those of you who threw your cigarette butts out the window in the park's parking lot: you have proven, too, that you are just as selfish and inconsiderate as that selfish blonde. you are at a FOLK CONCERT, STUPID!!!! you know... promoting a greener, cleaner Mother Earth. WHY? you have a fucking ashtray in your fucking car!!! why do you insist on littering our planet? if you or that stupid, selfish blonde, have any reasonable argument, then step forth and give it.

until then, you're just another selfish, ignorant individual living your life with little regard for your fellow human or our Mother Earth.
